Uxbridge Library History
In 1893, Edward C Thayer gifted the land and building now known as the Uxbridge Free Public Library to the community of Uxbridge.
Repair and improvements were made to the slate roof and ceiling above the "castle tower". The staircase walls with peeling paint are no more! In the next month we are working to clean up and improve the landing area for quiet study, the history room for research, and the auditorium for programs and special meetings. The Library Trustees, Friends of the Library, and library staff are working together to achieve this goal. Thank you to all!
